Research interests: macro-finance, emerging economies. Work has been published in Financial Management, The Financial Review, Journal of Financial Services Research, Review of Futures Markets, & Global Finance Journal, among others. Teaching interests: cross-border valuation, M&As, and international corporate finance. Has won several undergraduate and graduate teaching awards, including President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (University at Albany, 2013); Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (SUNY system-wide, 2013). Received M.A. in Economics from Calcutta University, India, before moving to the United States in 1983. Received Master’s in International Economics from University of Rochester, NY in 1985; Ph.D. in International Finance and Banking from Texas A&M University, TX in 1990.

Looking to take your organization to the next level? Bring on MBA students from the University at Albany, SUNY to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work in a team on one main project during the spring 2024 semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. All students have successfully completed rigorous coursework in accounting, finance, marketing, management, economics, and statistics. Teams have experience using Microsoft Office applications. A faculty advisor will assist student teams in organizing their efforts to complete the project.

Virtual Consulting Opportunity in Business: Bring on teams of students from the full-time MBA program at the School of Business, University at Albany, SUNY, to be your virtual consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work in teams on one or more projects of your choosing over the placement period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are available for 40 hours of placement from August 24, 2020 to December 4, 2020 . Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.
