-Under the direction of the Crew Party Chief assisted in field inspections using (OPSS) and City Engineering Standards and construction contracts.
-Inspection of new sidewalk/curb pours as well as existing sidewalk/curb replacement, pedestrian crossing installations, road milling (50mm of top coat), and re-paving operations.
-Interpret contract documents and construction drawings to effectively implement a design
-Responsible for maintaining accurate records of daily activity on a project (materials used, contract hours, etc.)
-Represented the City proudly in all aspects when dealing with residents, contractors, and fellow coworkers

Projects worked on include: Waddington Park Trail Upgrades, Mountdale Boat Launch Overhaul, Various Paving Operations, new sidewalk pours, and old sidewalk replacements.

Under the oversight of the survey party crew chief:
-Assists in construction layout for contractors and tie-ins
-Carry out surveys using Total Station (Trimble) & GPS (Trimble tablet system with GPS rover)
-Set a benchmark, as well as benching in and out of a site
-Responsible for setting up all equipment as well as teardown
-Working with the survey crew chief to ensure construction plans are feasible during layout for a contractor
-Assist in field measurements of poured concrete (for a sidewalk) using a Trimble GPS station to help with cost estimation
-Collection and drop off of samples for asphalt testing
-Collected data for measuring downs

-Issued permits for building and land use, encroachments, entrance, and signs on private property
-Supported senior corridor management officers in reviewing corridor management issues
-Prepared and assisted in creating presentation materials for site proposals
Investigated design alternatives and prepared documents for selected building and land use, encroachments, entrance, signs on private property, permits for ministry infrastructure
-Performed data acquisition through field studies and analyzed data via mapping and ArcGIS
-Tasked with operating ministry vehicles to conduct site visits
-Performed other duties as assigned by the Head of Corridor Management
-Involved in highlighting ministry assets to be designated in future highway expansion projects
-Involved in selecting backend corridor management permit stipulations for use across all of Ontario
