We want an analytical and positive Policy Advisor (At least 3rd year undergrad or above) to help us write a professional policy document for a Canada-wide youth-led climate change conference following a United Nations framework. The policy document will be demands by Canadian youth to Canadian decision-makers on action they need to take on climate change and sustainability within Canada, as well as more broadly to the world leaders at COP. We wish to write a specific and detailed document that references existing Canadian policy/legislation. This project is focused on ensuring the policy document is effective, relevant, and practical to current policy in Canada and so it can make an impact in the COP conference. Key Responsibilities: Advise us on current policy in Canada surrounding climate change, sustainability, especially in climate justice, biodiversity, building sustainable communities, and extreme weather Consult/help to write an effective policy document

Climate Change & Sustainability Youth Policy Demands Lobbying
In September 2023, a Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) was hosted in Canada. LCOYs are a conference framework from the UNFCCC global youth consistency YOUNGO that invites youth and youth-led entities in a country to come together to build capacity and make policy demands ahead of each year's United Nations Conference on Climate Change (the yearly Conference of Parties for the UNFCCC). Typically these demands are not intentionally distributed within the country the LCOY is hosted in. This project is focused on sharing the youth policy demands from LCOY Canada 2023 with relevant policy makers, decision makers, and groups. The policy demands are focused on the topics of the conference: Low-carbon energy, climate finance, sustainable cities, biodiversity, the ocean, the arctic, food and agriculture, climate justice, and youth-led politics.

Non-profit Youth Programs Launch in Sustainable STEM
The Human and Nature Youth Club is focused on providing educational and fun programs for youth with an emphasis on developing their naturalistic intelligence and social responsibility. HNYC is launching a new club chapter initiative for high school students called NatureX. Interested high school students will open a Nature X club in their school and go through the process and journey of running a club and leading their peers to complete the NatureX curriculum. The student(s) for this project will be assisting to create the general framework of the future clubs: rule book, procedures, curriculum, advertising, website design, copywrite, etc. Essentially support all the preparatory work before HNYC can welcome its first group of club leaders!
