Cyber Security: Digital Signatures and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

This experience focuses on the practical application of digital signatures within the framework of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of how digital signatures function, their implementation, and their role in secure communications. By engaging with real-world projects, learners will apply their knowledge to design, analyze, and improve digital signature systems, ensuring secure and authenticated digital transactions. This experience is ideal for industry professionals seeking innovative solutions to enhance security protocols. We are inviting organizations to collaborate with students during the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 terms. In Fall 2025, students will engage in individual projects, while Winter 2026 will focus on team-based work. Please note: The Fall 2025 experience is an optional assignment for students. While we make every effort to align student interests with your project needs, we cannot guarantee project selection. Final confirmation of participating students will be provided by early September 2025.
Web Database Systems Design and Implementation

This experience focuses on equipping learners with practical problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities in the design and development of web-based database systems. Participants will gain hands-on experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing web database applications using technologies such as ASP.NET Entity and Identity Framework, and various database servers like SQLite, SQL Server, and Oracle. Learners will apply their knowledge to real-world projects, enhancing their ability to create robust software solutions and comprehensive documentation that can be completed within 3 months.
Engineering Secure and Effective Software Systems

This module provides a systematic approach to the analysis, design, construction, testing, deployment and maintenance of software. The module also broadens the student’s knowledge of methods, techniques and tools used in software engineering and systems development. This experience offers learners a hands-on opportunity to apply their knowledge of software engineering and systems development in a real-world context. Participants will engage in the complete software life cycle, from analysis and design to deployment and maintenance, using industry-standard methods and tools. Learners will enhance their skills in project planning, teamwork, and communication while considering legal, ethical, and security issues. By collaborating with industry professionals, learners will gain practical experience in developing software solutions that meet specific business needs.
Computer Science, Data Science and IT Placements - Winter/Spring 2025

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on intermediate level learners from London Metropolitan University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work individually, and dedicate up to 70 hours of placement time over the course of 3 months, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are capable of completing Project work independently, and will require direction and moderate supervision.
